　　完整的元代青花瓷器很少，有数可查。据不完全统计，国外有元青花藏品200余件，主要分布于土耳其和伊朗，少数分布在德国、英国、日本及东南亚等地；国内收藏的元青花完整器件约100多件，可谓之物稀为贵。

　　元代，海外贸易进一步扩大，中东地区重新兴起了对中国青花瓷的需求。景德镇作为元代瓷业的发展中心， 利用中东进口的钴料，烧制成功了胎体洁白、釉色纯净、青花色泽浓艳青翠的青花瓷器，以供出口。

　　所以元青花的造型和纹饰上，就不可避免地带上了许多阿拉伯地区的风格，如大盘、大碗、大钵、扁壶，如繁密而结构严谨的结构布局，如近似"阿拉伯式花纹"的缠枝花卉等等。

　　随着人们审美兴趣的转移与提高，元代青花为国内市场所渐渐接受，成品价值与质量日渐提升。

　　元代短短九十多年，竟产生如此成熟精美的青花瓷器，本身就能引起人们，特别是陶瓷专家和陶瓷爱好者的极大兴趣。

　　和明代、清代的青花一样，元青花也是“瓷都”景德镇生产的。不过与后面两种相比，元青花非常神秘，因为在国内的数量少，而且也没有记载。有些说是元青花，因为没有年款，也说不清来历。

　　直到一件神器出现，大家才确定，世界上是真的有元青花这个东西。

　　这件神器就是“至正十一年”铭青花云龙纹象耳瓶。

　　这件神器是一对，上世纪20年代卖给了一个叫大维德爵士的英国人，所以也叫“大维德瓶”。这次其中一个来到上海，也算是第一次“回国”。

　　为什么说它是神器呢？因为它的瓶颈上有“至正十一年”铭文。至正是元顺帝的最后一个年号，所以用这个来判断，这件神器就是元朝制作的青花了。
