  1. General Description

  1.1. Purpose of this Document

  The purpose of this document is to provide the reference specification for Touch and Display Integration IC (eKTD6730). Engineers can refer this document to do IC development and application design (Circuit, quality ...etc.) for any potential customers.

  1.2. General Description

  The eKTD6730 IC brings new generation architecture (TDDI) to handheld device. The eKTD6730 provides a one chip solution that integrates display driver, In-cell touch controller, and active pen controller.The eKTD6730 is 3 in 1 chip. It supports FHD (1080RGB X 1920 dots) resolution panel, Multi-finger capacitive touch screen controller, Industry standard interfaces (MIPI interface) and low temperature poly-silicon (LTPS) drive etc...

  The eKTD6730 IC enables subsystems such as touch, display, and backlight to interact autonomously without intervention of the system or application processor and supports touch screen of 648 channels. The eKTD6730 also has flexibility and selective functionality to fit different mobile device, such as CABC (Content Adaptive Backlight Control), CM (Color Management), Gamma adjustment… It also provides various functions/modes to reduce the power consumption of a LCM module.

  Output 256 gray with true 8-bit D/A converter

  48 GOUT Signal (CGOUT1 – CGOUT24 on each side of the chip)

  Support SRC MUX 1 to 3 and 1 to 6.

  MIPI DSI display serial interface 1/4 lanes (DSI v1.01.00, D-PHY v1.00.00 and DCS v1.01)

  Support a serial flash memory interface for the external flash memory for initialization.
