液压技术的起源,最早可以追溯到二百多年前。1795年,英国的约瑟夫·布拉曼发明了世界第一台水压机,早期的液压介质都是水。[7]
到了1905年前后,人们发现矿物油比水黏稠,因此泄漏少得多,润滑性好得多,工作压力可以大大提高,更适宜作为压力介质。矿物油的应用大大推动了现代液压技术的发展,在1905年前后,液压系统的工作压力还仅为4MPa,到了1940年,工作压力为35MPa的液压泵已形成了系列产品。[7]
1982年,ISO国际标准化组织提出了《润滑剂、工业润滑油和有关产品---第四部分h组》分类,即ISO 6743/4,对液压油产品进行了标准分类,把矿物型液压油分成了HH、HL、HM、HV、HG等质量级别。[7]
中国国家标准GB/T 11118.1(前身为GB 11118.1-2011)规定了L-HL、L-HM、L-HV、L-HS、L-HG等液压油品种的技术要求。该标准在2019年有更新征求意见稿(GB 11118.1-××××)。[6]
随着技术发展,出现了难燃液压油(如HFA、HFC、HFD)和环保的酯型(可生物降解)液压油

Around 1905, it was discovered that mineral oil was thicker than water, resulting in much less leakage, better lubrication, and significantly increased working pressure, making it more suitable as a pressure medium. The application of mineral oil greatly promoted the development of modern hydraulic technology. Around 1905, the working pressure of hydraulic systems was only 4MPa. By 1940, hydraulic pumps with a working pressure of 35MPa had formed a series of products
