　　润滑油的粘度会随温度发生变化，我们都有这样的经验:一桶机油在冷天我们会感觉它变稠，在热天我们会感觉它变稀。润滑油的粘度随温度变化的特性叫做润滑油的黏温性能，这一特性的量化指标叫做润滑油的粘度指数。

　　根据粘度指数不同可将润滑油分为三级:35-80为低粘度指数润滑油；80-110为高粘度指数润滑油；粘度指数超过110即为特高粘度指数的润滑油。现在轿车上使用的发动机油都要求是特高粘度指数的润滑油。

We all have the experience that a barrel of oil thickens on cold days and thins on hot days. The temperature-viscosity property of a lubricating oil is called the viscosity-temperature property of the oil. The Quantitative Index of this property is called the viscosity index of the oil. According to the different viscosity index can be divided into three classes: 35 -80 for low viscosity index oil; 80 -110 for high viscosity index oil; viscosity index above 110 is the ultra-high viscosity index oil. The engine oil used on the car now all requests is the extremely high viscosity index lubricating oil.
