Chemistryandreactionmodel
ThemolecularweightofACUMER5000isamultifunctionalpolymers,thesilicon
oxideandmagnesiumsilicatehasexcellentscaleinhibitionanddispersioneffect.
ACUMER5000throughthesiliconoxidedispersioncolloidandpreventmagnesium
silicatescaleswitchingsurfaceintheheatofformation,scalegenerationto
preventoxidationofsilicon.
Performance
Becauseofthepresenceofsiliconoxidehasmanyforms,howtocontrolthe
silicabasedscalingisacomplexproblem:activemolybdenumsiliconoxide:
oftenreferredtoassolublesiliconoxidation.Silicondioxidecolloid:
polymerizationofsilicaparticles,upto0.1micronsorsmaller.Silica
scaling:mostlymagnesiumsilicate,butitisalsopossiblethatironor
calciumsilicate.Colloidalsilicameltsformedatthecathodesurfacesilicate
corrosionathightemperatureandhighPHenvironment,sothattheoxygen,
reducehydroxide.Thefirstgenerationofsilicatecation,solublesilicaadded
toexisting,suchastheformationofmagnesiumsilicatescale.Inaddition,
colloidalsilicaalonecanwithmagnesiumhydroxideprecipitationreaction,
formingmagnesiumsilicatescale(includingmagnesiumandsiliconoxideratio
ofnonstoichiometric).Ingeneral,ifthecontentofsilicarecyclingcooling
waterloopinmorethan180ppm,therewillbealotoffoulinginheatexchangesurfacegeneration.Moreover,thescalewiththegeneralmethodisdifficultorimpossibletoremove.ACUMER5000intheminingconditionisevaluated,inrecyclingwaterwithoutscalingsiliconoxidationallowsamaximumof300ppm.
