Summary
CHPC intelligent pulse current charger is a special design product, to meet charger requirement of power battery on the electric vehicle. It uses advanced soft-switch technique, and has features of small size, high efficiency, stability & reliability, and long life. It also has protection functions of battery reverse connection, output short circuit, input low voltage or over voltage, and over heat.
Embedded CPU can accurately check several status of battery. Advanced and intelligent multi-section charging mode can avoid lack charging or over charging, and reduce water-lose phenomenon because of charging as far as possible, and avoid electrode board vulcanization because of lack charging, to extend battery life cycle greatly.

Output short circuit:When accident output short circuit occurs, charger can limit output current, and can automatically recover when short circuit disappears.
Over heat:when inner temperature exceeds 65℃, charger begins to reduce output current automatically, temperature rises 5℃ each, then output current reduces 6%. When inner temperature exceeds 90℃, charger stops, overheat LED lights.
Battery reverse connection:When the output of charger is reversely connected with battery electrode, the charger never starts, and no output. When the connection is right, the charger can start to work automatically.

Self-Check indication:When charger is connected with battery correctly, it goes into status of self-check, the four green LEDs will twinkle five times at the same time, then it goes into status of charging.
Status of charge indication:Along with increasing of battery volume, the current indication LED twinkle, four green LEDs will be lighted in turn.
100% charge indication:All four LEDs are on.。
Manual equilibrium charge indication:
When the equilibrium charge button is pressed down, red LED is lighted, equilibrium charge is on(if battery volume drops, equilibrium charge can recover battery volume). Release the button, equilibrium charge stop.
Equilibrium charge indication:Four green LEDs will be lighted like the cycle of off-one-two-three-four-off.
Voltage or current indication:Press the select button, and then change the display of output voltage or current.
< Error Indication
AC voltage is low or over:Shut down, the LED 1, 2 twinkles at the same time.
Over current:Shut down, the LED 1, 3 twinkles at the same time.
Over heat:Shut down, the LED 1, 4 twinkles at the same time.

Operation Method
< Range of Use
1. This product can be only used with the lead acid battery, which was matching tested before. The detail can be acquired from distributor or factory.
2. Before using, please confirm the output voltage can match with the battery voltage. The output voltage is put on the label. Different type of product cannot be use confusedly.
For example:the product of 48V cannot be used to charge the battery of 24V,otherwise overcharge will occur, and damage the battery.
< Operation Steps
1. Please place product in the situation of dry and clean, and good ventilation.
2. Check if the input voltage is correct, and confirm that the grounding is good.
3. Connect the charge output with battery, and be sure that the polarity is right. The fan runs, and begins to charge after self-checking.
4. Charger will shut down after it finished charging, and display the status of full.
Attention:Please don’t change the length of output cable.
Charging Mode
This product has two ways of working, normal charging and supplement charging. Both have the function of temperature compensation (charger can adjust the charging curve automatically according to ambient temperature).
1. Normal charging stage:Charge with normal mode.
2. Supplement charging stage:
It includes three stages:Floating charge, equilibrium charge automatically and manual equilibrium charge.
Floating charge:Charger works in type of pulse after full charging, to compensate the self-discharging of battery.
Equilibrium charge automatically:Once after ten times of floating charge, limited in four hours.
Manual equilibrium charge:Press down the button of equilibrium charge, charger works in equilibrium charge mode, limited in ten hours.
Equilibrium charge advantage:Equilibrium charge can recover battery volume if battery volume reduce.(Principle:use higher output voltage to activate deadly matter on the battery plate, and improve utilization rate of battery plate).
Equilibrium charge disadvantage:Battery voltage is high in equilibrium charge mode. Battery maybe loses some water. Equilibrium charge frequently may damage battery.
Attentions in manual equilibrium charge:
Equilibrium charge button setting:Press down the button, equilibrium charge occurs once. Equilibrium charge will never occur another time till the button is lose and pressed down again.
Attentions:when equilibrium charge begins, the temperature of battery should be check every ten minutes, if the temperature is higher than 50℃, charger must have artificial cooling measures or must be shut down.
Fault Check and Exclude Method
If the product cannot work normally, please check the following items by your own before the repair requirement.
