Excessive thickness/Customer complained that some stainless steel plates in the purchased batches were too poor in thickness and could not be used, so they raised quality objections. The batch of stainless steel plates purchased by the customer is 304/2B, the nominal thickness is 3.0mm, and the actual thickness is about 2.92mm. It is the flat plate of the company and the standard is 1219×2438mm. The total size is about 6 tons. The thickness deviation mentioned by the customer is that there are about 10 stainless steel plates with an actual thickness of 3.05mm. Judging from the stacking order of the steel plates, these 10 stainless steel plates are the tails of the steel coils, and the welding seam can be seen on the last stainless steel plate. It can be judged that these 10 stainless steel plates are welding adjustment parts during splicing when the steel mill rolls steel. In these parts, the thickness may be unstable. Generally speaking, the thickness of the head should be measured during unwinding and uncoiling, and the thickness should be measured again after 10 meters. If there is a welding seam, the thickness should be measured again, because the thickness may change in these places. However, due to the fast Kaiping speed, the welding seam is easily overlooked, so this quality objection appears. Provide customers with 10 stainless steel plates with qualified thickness. Strengthen the skill training of Kaiping line operation staff and strictly implement product testing procedures.
