　　Product Description—ACA 32-228EXP is a water based adhesive which provides a semi-structural bond between metal roll stock and polypropylene or olefin-based thermoplastic elastomers. A dry coating of only 0.0001 inches on 0.008 inch aluminum yields very high peel values up to 42 pli when bonded to polypropylene. Peel values measured two days after bonding have increased by as much as 50%. It requires no primer, although for best bonding coated metal parts must be clean and oil free.  ACA 32-228EXP is formulated to be used with extrusion equipment; however, it is also very suitable for injection molding equipment.

　　Typical Use— ACA 32-228EXP is ideal for applications that bond plastic to metal with heat, such as decorative moldings and window channels on automobiles. Injection molding applications include bonding TPO or polypropylene to hand-held items such as kitchenware, sporting goods handles, and metal containers for electronic devices that need cushions for impact protection or insulation. Plastic containers, toys, and small plastic items which are labeled “in the mold” may benefit by adding a thin layer of ACA 32-228EXP as a heat activated adhesive.

　　Coating Method— The adhesive may be applied to metal foil by gravure printing. It may also be applied by hand with a brush, by dipping metal parts into the adhesive, or with a sprayer. The adhesive may be dried in a forced air oven at about 225° F. A dry coating weight of about 0.1 mil is a good place to start for adhesion evaluation.  

　　涂布方式 –胶水可以用凹版印刷的方式涂在金属表面。也可以使用刷涂方式，或者将金属浸泡到胶水中，或者使用喷涂方式。涂布胶之后，建议用热风风干，温度大约107摄氏度(225华氏度)。胶的干膜厚度大约0.1mil(0.0025mm)比较理想。

　　Clean Up— Wash the equipment with water to remove the wet adhesive.  The dry coating may require a toluene wash.  Toluene is a flammable solvent and must be used according to OSHA safety standards.

　　All samples coated at 0.2 mils dry (0.0002”) onto 0.008” aluminum then oven dried at 200°F. Samples heat sealed at 400°F for 10 seconds at 20 PSI.

　　所有测试样件涂布干膜厚度为0.0002”(约0.005mm),铝的厚度为0.008”，然后93摄氏度热风烘干，热硫化条件204摄氏度，10秒，压力20PSI(0.15Mpa).
