　　DESCRIPTION

　　ETA9797 is an ultra low power PMU with 2 channels: a 16Vsingle cell Li+ battery linear charger and a 5V Boostsynchronous converter with true-shutoff function. The linearcharger fully integrated constant current (CC) / constantvoltage (CV) control module and charge FET, with minimalexternal devices. It also has pre-charge function for tricklecharging deeply discharged battery and its fast charge currentcan be programmed by an external resistor. When CV chargestage is entered, charge will be terminated once the chargecurrent drops to 1/10 of the programmed value. A “STAT” pinis also available to indicate the charge status. And the lowpower 5V Boost converter is capable of delivering 0.4Acurrent at 5V output. It can be shut down by pulling ENBSTlow, it will disconnect the output from the BAT to furtherdecrease the system standby power. Its 1.4MHz switchingfrequency enable a very small external inductor withinductance as low as 2.2uH. The ETA9797, as a whole, is anideal for the system solution that requires very low standbypower and compact PCB board size.
