　　ETA9722 is a switching Li-Ion battery charger capable ofdelivering up to 1.2A of charging current to the battery and alsocapable of delivering up to 5V/1.2A in boost operation, with highefficiency in both charging mode and boost mode. It also includesa fuel gauge system for power indication. For charging, it uses aproprietary control scheme that eliminates the current senseresistor for conventional constant current control, maximizingefficiency, reducing charging time and reducing costs. It can alsooutput a 5V voltage in the reversed direction by boosting fromthe battery. It only needs a single inductor to provide power bidirectionally with a proprietary automatic mode detect andswitch scheme. ETA9722is an ideal all-in-one solutionfor batterycharging and discharge applications, such as power banks, smartphones, and tablets with only one USB port that can be used forcharging battery function.
