Description and Overview
CM6400X1 is an advanced highly-integrated USB single chip with Cmedia Xear™ software driver optimized for PC gaming headset or other audio applications. Embedded analog and digital modules in CM6400X1 include stereo DAC,16/32-ohms headphone amplifier,capless HP-out,stereo ADC,microphone pre-amplifier, independent mic voltage bias,PLL, power regulator, and USB transceiver.Moreover,CM6400X1 also integrates 5-band hardware digital equalizer (EQ) processing unit with 4 default preset modes (Default/Generic,MMORPG,Racing/Fight,FPS/Sport).Customers could also customize full EQ preset parameters for compensating the headphone Sound Pressure Level (SPL) performance over all in-band audio frequencies, or enable Treble/Bass tab for tuning in the system audio control panel with EEPROM.In addition, embedded Mic Auto-Gain-Control (AGC) functionality could automatically adjust gains according to variance in input signals to avoid large signal clipping caused by environmental noises, acoustics echo, or speaking too loudly, and also maintain more constant and comfortable recording level range during voice communication. Clipping-Detection LED feature could also give users a feedback alert indicator for over scale sound input when recording.
CM6400X1 supports standard HID compliant volume control pins and playback control pins including Play_Pause/ STOP / Previous / Next hot-key buttons, they can also be programmed to function as Surround LED Indicator/ENC LED Indicator / Surround On & 0ff / ENC On &t 0ff. lt also provides analog DC VR volume control option.
CM6400X1 is compliant with Windows®XP/Vista/7 WHQL logo program audio quality and stereo Mic requirements, and delivers succeeding 96dB Signal-to-Noise Ratio of high-quality audio for both DAC and ADC. Both of DAC and ADC support 16-bit resolution and 48 KHz/ 44.1 KHz sampling rates.
