四氟板式橡胶支座的产品特点具有构造简单、价格低廉、无需养护、易于更换缓冲隔震、建筑高度低等特点,因而在桥梁界颇受欢迎,被广泛使用。四氟橡胶支座的构造:在普通板式橡胶支座的表面粘贴一层聚四氟乙烯板,就构成了聚四氟乙烯橡式板胶支座,简称四氟板橡胶支座,其抗压和转动性能与普通板式橡胶支座基本相同,当然在桥梁施工实际应用时,四氟橡胶支座的整体构造并非如此简单。普通板式橡胶支座是通过支座的剪切变形来实现梁的水平位移,这种剪切变形是有一定的限值,普通板式橡胶支座不能满足位移量较大的要求。这种产品与普通板式橡胶支座不同的是:聚四氟乙烯板式橡胶支座不是通过支座的剪切变形来实现梁的水平位移,它主要通过梁底不锈钢板与摩擦系数很小的四氟板来回滑动,实现梁的水平位移,四氟板式胶支座可以适应较大跨径及多孔连续梁桥的伸缩位移。
