煤层气是煤的伴生矿产资源,与天然气是同一种性质的可燃性气体,其组成主要为甲烷,还含有少量的氧气、氢、二氧化碳以及烃类化合物,是一种热值高且无污染的新型能源。一般把煤炭开采过程抽排出甲烷浓度大于25%的瓦斯称为高浓度煤层气。煤层气中的甲烷浓度是确定煤气资源储量、丰度及开采的重要参数,可综合煤层的面积、厚度等条件预测煤矿的产气能力,并制定勘探开发方案。

Coalbed methane is an associated mineral resource of coal, which is a combustible gas with the same properties as natural gas. Its composition is mainly methane, and it also contains small amounts of oxygen, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, and hydrocarbon compounds. It is a new type of energy with high calorific value and no pollution. Generally, gas with a methane concentration greater than 25% discharged during coal mining is called high concentration coalbed methane. The methane concentration in coalbed methane is an important parameter for determining the reserves, abundance, and extraction of coal gas resources. It can predict the gas production capacity of coal mines based on conditions such as the area and thickness of coal seams, and formulate exploration and development plans.
